High-Performance Affordable RIS Debuts Advanced New Feature
Chicago – RSNA 2013 – Advanced Data Systems (ADS) introduces at the 2013 Radiological Society of North America conference a versatile
new patient communications portal for its MedicsRIS (radiology information system).
The portal will enable patients to contact an imaging center, access a full range of forms, and receive exam instructions and results.
It offers an important new convenience to patients as well as efficiencies to radiology practices and referring physicians.
When patients log on, the MedicsRIS portal presents them with an attractive, easy-to-use interface which can be personalized to the imaging center’s parameters of use.
With the portal, patients can request an appointment, and prior to the visit, securely complete all necessary forms online, saving significant office time.
Information is stored directly into the imaging center’s MedicsRIS system.
Patients also can be provided with detailed, downloadable exam preparation instructions.
Following the procedure, the MedicsRIS portal will also make radiology reports available for downloading by referring physicians and any other authorized user.
“The MedicsRIS patient portal represents an important time-saving tool for imaging centers while appealing to patients and referring physicians as well,” says David Barzillai, President of ADS.
“It streamlines that initial patient contact with the imaging center, and it enhances the exam experience by allowing patients to complete paperwork securely over the internet at their convenience.
A pleasant imaging experience builds referrals, as does the easy online access to imaging reports.
The new portal really is a win-win for all involved.”
