From historical perspective, the RSNA is one of the oldest scientific organizations addressing radiology. Since its appearance, nearly hundred years ago, the Society has been aiding radiologists to improve themselves and eventually their services, not only in the United States, but also globally. Throughout the past years, RSNA meeting always got increasing popularity among radiologists and medical imaging professionals and RSNA 2011 is not an exception.
Another indication of the importance of RSNA 2011 is the statistics of the 2010 meeting. More than 58, 000 radiologists and medical imaging professionals attended RSNA 2010. During the Exhibition, nearly 670 companies showcased their latest innovations for the attendees. Moreover, a number of 232 refresher courses took place in RSNA 2010, and around 4300 scientific papers and posters were presented at the event.
