Carestream enhanced its established portfolio of Vue for Cloud-Based Services that includes PACS, archiving and collaborative information sharing. A new portal service allows healthcare facilities to quickly and easily share images and information with any authorized physician. This facilitates obtaining secondary opinions from specialists and sharing diagnoses with referring physicians. Healthcare providers also have the option to use the portal to allow patients to securely access their own medical information. Carestream Debuts DRX-Revolution Mobile X-ray SystemA new works-in-progress CARESTREAM DRX-Revolution Mobile X-Ray System is designed from the ground up as a true DR-based mobile imaging system. This x-ray room on wheels extends the reach of the x-ray tube to overcome the challenges of producing high-quality images for critical care patients with breathing tubes, IVs, heart monitors and other medical equipment. This mobile DR system features a unique, collapsible column that allows unobstructed views for enhanced visibility and safety as technologists and other staff members move the x-ray system throughout the hospital. The compact system has two built-in monitors (the main 19-inch monitor and the 8-inch tube head monitor) that can improve productivity. Carestream also introduced upgrades to its DRX-1 and DRX-1C detectors that deliver faster preview images, reduced weight, longer battery life and extended exposures.

Carestream showed advanced mammography features from industry leaders that are now available on its powerful, flexible multi-modality breast imaging workstation. These optional applications complement the company’s native capabilities. PenRad’s patient tracking and mammography information system (MIS) expedites viewing and reading of mammography exams as well as tracking of patient data and images. PenRad systems can be seamlessly integrated with Carestream Health’s mammography workstation, which can be connected to a PACS from Carestream Health or other vendors. PenRad’s PenTrac automates management of patient recalls and reminders, letters, statistics and MQSA reports to improve efficiency and standardization in mammography patient tracking and reporting.

Carestream also markets and integrates peerVue’s Qualitative Intelligence and Communication System (QCIS) for healthcare providers with advanced workflow needs. CARESTREAM Vue RIS and PACS offers native patient tracking, critical results notification and peer review capabilities that meet the needs of many healthcare providers.
