Objective:

This session has three sections. First is Musculoskeletal Fellowship Training: Current Trends, in which attendees will learn the basics of the resident selection process from the perspective of a residency program director. The section also highlights practical problems encountered in radiology residency recruiting will be discussed. The second section is Vascular and Interventional Radiology Fellowship Training: Current Trends, which discusses the current educational and socioeconomic context of fellowship recruitment in diagnostic radiology. The section also describes current practices in fellowship recruitment in diagnostic radiology. It discusses the possible effects of changes in educational requirements and socioeconomic conditions on fellowship recruitment in diagnostic radiology. Third section, Neuroradiology Fellowship Training: Current Trends, includes understanding the history in neuroradiology fellowship training programs and the national residency match program (NRMP). Attendees will become familiar with the ACGME guidelines for training programs in neuroradiology.  They will be informed about the challenges and opportunities neuroradiology training programs face today.
