Objective:

This session have two sections. First is Brain Vascular Malformations and Hemorrhage, in which attendees will recognize the different categories of vascular malformations. They will also identify the imaging characteristics of the different forms of vascular malformations. Attendees are going to recognize the complications of vascular malformations and the associated imaging findings. The second section is Other Vascular Malformations and Hemorrhage. It recognizes the various types of vascular malformations within the brain, their associated risks, and treatment options. Attendees will understand the imaging appearance of hemorrhage within the brain and the underlying pathophysiology of iron metabolism. This section distinguishes significant micro-bleeds from macro-bleeds in both hypertensive disease and amyloid angiopathy.
