This session includes an introduction to the interventional radiology suite, specifically defining the clinical responsibility of the radiologist assistant as well as the radiologist. Attendees will understand proper placement and clinical management of central venous catheters. They will also learn the proper technique for placement of vascular access ports and possible complications. The session is going to discuss clinical evaluation and management of dialysis access grafts and fistulas, including the proper technique of angioplasty and declot procedures. Attendees will understand percutaneous biopsy and drainage using multiple image guided modalities.
