Objective:

This session discusses natural history, nodal anatomy, imaging, (including new imaging techniques), staging, and radiotherapeutic contouring of the disease site in the neck, chest, abdomen, and pelvis with special emphasis on the supradiaphragmatic regions. Attendees will learn the role of both diagnostic radiologists and radiation oncologists, in the diagnosis and staging of disease and in treatment planning for . The session highlights the appropriate imaging modalities and techniques for optimal diagnostic studies and for radiation therapy planning. The session also includes discussion of practical issues, such as how to decide which MR Imaging sequence is best for use in contouring in a given case.
